Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
+ 1/2 cup extra flour for dusting and kneading (depends)
1/8 cup sugar
3/4 tsp or 4g salt
1 1/4 tsp or 6g instant yeast
1 egg
75g whole milk or full fat or evaporated milk
1/4 cup or 56g softened butter
1-2 tbsp pandan flavor (green food coloring)
Note: you can double the measurements to make 24pcs of pandesal 😋
Procedure:
- In a bowl, Mix all together the 2 cups flour, sugat, salt and instant yeast.
- Add the egg, milk, and the pandan flavor (food color), mix together until you form a dough or use your hand to mix it.
- Knead the the dough for 10mins until it become smooth and elastic, add additional flour for dusting if you think the dough is still very sticky.
- Brush the bowl with oil, put the dough drizzled with oil and cover with cling wrap. Let it rest for 45mins-1hr.
- Punch the dough to remove air and put on the flat surface dusted with flour, divide the dough into two and roll to form a log. Cut into small pieces, 12 pcs in total.
- Shaped the cutted dough into a ball.
- Stuff with cheese (or any jams you want) and round it, then dip in bread crumbs. Cover with clean cloth and let it rest for 30mins-1hr.
- Bake at 180 degrees centigrade for 18mins or if you are using air fryer bake at 160-180 degrees Celcius for 15-20 mins. Serve.
